Idee the makers of TinEYE also develops image recognition software and services for Adobe, istockphoto, digg, Associated Press and many others.

Thank you StuckinCustoms for pointing this tool out out in my quest to eliminate watermarks on my photography.

When I asked StuckinCustoms what their philosophy is on not using ugly water marks on their beautiful photography, this is what they had to say:

” It’s a multi-part philosophy –
1) Legitimate companies do not steal images to use commercially. So I don’t have any logical fear there.
2) There are other services, like Tineye (and google) that can help me easily find evil-doers.
3) If there are evil-doers, they will have already used my image wrongly, setting up a slam-dunk legal case.” – Stuckincustoms.com

Real Estate HDRI Photography Podcast with Michael James

I found this great blog post by Michael James regarding high definition resolution imagery in the real estate market.

The podcast covers software, hardware, workflows, and tips used in capturing such beautiful imagery. Michael James also speaks about the upcoming Scarlett by Red which seems it will capture HDRI for video, Promote Control a great tool for controlling your camera, how to get into the real estate photography business, and explanations on how some of his imagery was captured. The rest of his website is full of great information for photographers and videographers alike, being that both professions are slowly merging.

I see no other way of capturing real photography of people, unless they are truly unaware that they are being photographed. It seems that as soon as someone knows they are being photographed they strike a pose, no matter how much one asks them to please to act natural.
