Here is a great video I found on FCP.co on the the “Joy of using FCPX”. What I like about this video is that we can really see the direction Final Cut is heading. With all the hoopla and debate on Final Cut, it is nice to see someone that is thinking ahead of the curve instead of overanalyzing the change Apple chose to do.

One thing I keep telling anyone that is willing to listen, is that every Non Linear Video Editor can pretty much do the same thing in similar ways, so it is nice to see a software that is rethinking the way we work. I like to think that one day we will edit like in the movie Minority Report, which the new FCPX seems to be heading in that direction:(...)

‪INSIDE — Day 1‬‏ – YouTube

Another great film edited by the talented Josh Bodnar. This film is different as you get to interact with the film through the social network, this is part one of eight. Great edit Josh!

Here is the breakdown sent to me by Josh:

Directed by D.J. Caruso ( Disturbia, I am Number Four, Eagle Eye) alongside Oscar-winning cinematographer Mauro Fiore (Avatar, Training Day, Smokin’ Aces) and starring Emmy Rossum of Showtime’s Shameless as Christina, the main character.

Christina, a 20-something girl, has been trapped in a room left with a laptop and an internet connection. With no idea of how she got there, Christina mobilizes her social network to call on friends to help figure out clues on where she’s being held.

The film “Inside” premiered yesterday and is unveiled in 8 films over the next 10 days through social media platforms Facebook, Twitter,You Tube and the inside experience website. The films will be released every couple of days giving the audience more information, as well as clues from Christina via her Facebook, to participate in the films.

This is a great FREE tool I am using to launch software, just hit the keyboard shortcut and then start typing in the name of the application and it starts finding it instantly. MyApplauncher is a great time saver, and we all know that in this industry every second counts!
